7 MYTHS ABOUT THE SNOWKITING

MYTH #1. IT IS VERY LONG TO LEARN KITING

It is enough to spend no more than half an hour to learn the kite steering basics. Moving under kite technique can be learned within several hours. The rest depends on intensity of riding and speed of acquiring of concrete practical skills. Yes, it is also necessary to recognize that bystry training and the professional growth is possible only in you have a skilled instructor.

MYTH #1,5. (THE BACK SIDE OF THE #1). I DO NOT NEED AN INSTRUCTOR I WILL LEARN IT MYSELF. (Possible option is MY FRIENDS WILL HELP).

Do you remember that the avaricious pays twice? Of course, you can do without an instructor and spend whole winter mastering towage technique and geting cones and bruises. During the summer everything would get healed and you may start anew with the first snow. As for friends' help, there is one scrupulous moment here. The right wind is joy in the winter and your friends of course wait for this moment. And once the wind only blew, here are you sticking with the "why does it always fall at me?". And spending half an hour each time to relaunch the kite (and if it hasn't auto relaunch system, you friends are in a trouble). Why are you so with them? :(

MYTH #2. SNOWKITING IS A MEN'S SPORT.

Who thinks so is a chauvinist! In the modern world of the woman flying to space, managing corporations, applying for a post of the head of a superstate, and easily coping with other fascinating activities, you think that she is not able to steer a kite? Fact in evidence: it is simpler to make friends with a kite by means of attention and keenness, than using brute male power. Also among prize-winners of large competitions girls are not a rarity for a long time.

MYTH #3.  SNOWKITING IS VERY EXPENSIVE!

Calculation of optimum expenses is a difficult but still achievable task with the presence of the elementary cogitative skills and a school course of mathematics. If you have a traditional snowboard/mountain skis and also some experience using them (Aren't you going to learn riding a snowboard in parallel?), it is not so expensive to start in a snowkiting: starting from 50.000 rubles for the kite, starting from 13.000 rubles for the harness. And this is for brand new equipment. But you can also use the second-hand equipment and cut the expenses twice. The main thing is, when you're making a choice on the equipment to correct estimate the prevailing air streams, style and the place for riding to buy an optimal equipment set.

MYTH #4. ABSOLUTELY FLAT SITES ARE REQUIRED FOR THE SNOWKITING.

It is only half the myth. Many beginners in search of flat routes forget about the elements filling surrounding space. Therefore having spread their wings they hang on roofs of houses, trees, and power lines. To not damage expensive equipment it is better to avoid any places with limited space. And  difficult relief is cool - you can doing various elements like a kite loop in a jump.

MYTH #5. SNOWKITING IS VERY EXTREME AND VERY DANGEROUS.

We are waiting for dangers from frosty weather - it is possible to get a frostbite easily. Of course it is, if you picked up the wrong clothes or trifled of this question. "It is possible to be traumatized...". Understanding of process along with adequate assessment of your abilities and certainly skills minimize losses in any process. Snowkitingit is rather simple and comfortable if to follow safety rules. Choosing a right spot, choosing a right kite size, understanding the theory and not to hurrying in achievement of the results are rules for comfortable training even on a rigid surface.

MYTH WHICH IS NOT A MYTH. SNOWKITING IS THE COOLEST SPORT EVER! It trains endurance, will, patience aand persistence, an intuition, develops sense of beauty and gives feeling of omnipotence (you manage forces of nature). The person who can wait for a wind for hours, and having waited, to suffer its wrong force or direction, repairing the stuff etc. and when everything coincided, to rush in embraces of wind - is a mad-cool person and yes, congratulations, you are in the party of these mega-people!! It is not the myth - it is the fact!
